Background.
A global organisation who specialises in sustainability solutions, were expanding its operations and opening a new branch in Amsterdam. Shirley Parsons had already been working with the business for several years and successfully placed candidates in the UK and were therefore approached to help build their new team.
Implementation.
To fulfil the requirements outlined by the Amsterdam Manager, Shirley Parsons Environment and Sustainability team initiated a candidate search using LinkedIn Recruiter, to explore the abundant pool of sustainability professionals in the Netherlands.
They then presented several candidates to the company, of which all three were invited to interviews. One candidate instantly stood out to the manager, however, due to the festive period, the hiring process was put off until after December.
Shirley Parsons Environment and Sustainability Lead Careers Consultant Emily Swindlehurst knew a particular candidate was perfect for the position and contacted them again in the new year.
After meeting with the CEO, the candidate was offered the position with the new team and has now been at the company since April 2023.
Outcome.
As a result of the successful partnership Shirley Parsons had established with the organisation, they were able to put forward and place a highly qualified candidate with clear career ambitions in sustainability and consulting.
Also, to help cement contracts in Amsterdam, Search Director Ally Bliss and Client Director Inês Pereira da Costa, both of Shirley Parsons Netherlands were able to use their specialist knowledge of Netherlands-specific contracts.
