Emily Swindlehurst

Lead Careers Consultant - Environment & Sustainability

About Emily

Hi! My name’s Emily and I’m the Lead Careers Consultant for Environment & Sustainability at Shirley Parsons. Our team specialises in identifying the right talent and resources to help clients achieve their sustainability, environmental and ESG initiatives and targets.

I’ve been with the company since the Summer of 2019, and it’s been a whirlwind that’s enabled me to work across many teams within the business and develop my knowledge in the relevant sectors – as well survive a pandemic throughout! In a past life, you’d have found me up north studying a BSC in Sociology at Leeds Beckett Uni, and before joining Shirley Parsons I spent a year working for a high-end retailer to gain experience in a people-facing, fast-paced role.

I’d describe myself as an extrovert, always up for socialising or having a chat, and if you ask anybody in the office, they’ll tell you I’d win the “loudest on the phone” award.

When I’m not working, you’ll find me trying new things and exploring new places, such as restaurants, trendy bars, and trips abroad. Life can get a bit manic of course, so to unwind I’ll opt for a spin class or glass of pinot blush (guess which is the preferred).

Unpopular opinion: Combinations of sweet and savoury food are just wrong, don’t try and tell me otherwise!
