​​Shirley is a professional Health, Safety and Environmental Consultant and the Director / Co-founder of Shirley Parsons Professional Services a specialist Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) services group.

Shirley also co-founded both S-Com and Sypol with Paul Roebuck.

With degrees in Chemistry and Pollution & Environmental Control, Shirley is a Chartered Member of IOSH and was a member of the Nominations committee for six years.

SHEQ Manager Remote / Hybrid Working Model Leading Telecoms and Renewable energy infrastructure Job Overview The SHEQ Manager, is pivotal in ensuring that the organisation leads the way in Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality processes. With SHEQ as one of the main pillars of the business this role will help to ensure we exceed the requirements within the SHEQ jurisdiction. This position is based in the Ireland and will be the day-to-day interface for SHEQ, in Ireland. Fire Safety Officer Sevenoaks, Kent Part time - 3 days a week £20,000 - £24,000 Shirley Parsons have partnered with Sevenoaks School to appoint their Fire Safety Officer. This is a part time position, where the successful candidate will work a 24 hour week across three days. The aim of the role is to drive a positive fire safety culture, through ensuring the provision of a comprehensive and effective fire safety service across all of the school sites and buildings (including residential accommodation). This will involve reviewing all relevant policies, procedures and systems to ensure that they are fit for purpose and that there is a culture of continuous improvement in all matters relating to fire. The Fire Safety Officer will be responsible for: Leading the continual review, development and implementation of the school's fire safety policy, practices and systemsSupporting and promoting the development of a positive fire safety culture within the school.Oversee all fire drills / evacuations, ensuring these occur as they need to and meet the required standards.Investigating any fire-related incidents and prepare reports and recommendations coming from the investigations.Inspecting school buildings and grounds for hazardous conditions and compliance / non-compliance with fire safety regulations.
